This event is a part of series of fashion extravaganza to be held at various places across the country to showcase the creations of a dozen designers in 25 shows at six different cities.

Bollywood actors Anushka Sharma and Arjun Rampal were the show stopper at the yesterday’s show in New Delhi.

The collection by renowned couture specialist Surily Goel and Nandita Mahtani comprised outfits in vibrant colours.

Anushka Sharma said the fashion designer Surily Goel understands a woman’s body and drapes it very well.

“I love the fact that Surily knows, a lot of people really go wrong with drapes and she has done it so right not only this outfit but also the other clothes that I saw on the models, which shows that she understands a woman’s body so very well and that comes across in her collections as well,” said Anushka Sharma.

“Well, the show is all about safari … but animal prints and it was a mix match of khakis and silvers, golds, beiges, leopards and snake prints,” said Goel, fashion designer.

Wife of Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan, Suzanne Roshan, who came to witness the show, said that besides Hrithik, Arjun is also a rock star and whatever he wears fits him well.

The fashion tour will feature fashion shows exhibiting designs of renowned couturists such as Ashish N. Soni, Asmita Marwah, Gavin, Milguel, Gunjan, Rahul, Mandira Wirk, Nandita Mahtani, Neeta Lulla, Raghvendra Rathore, Shantanu, Nikhil, Surily Goel, Vikram Phadnis and Wendell Rodricks, among others.

Several celebrities and fashion divas across the country are expected to be a part of this glamorous fashion extravaganza at New Delhi.

The fashion tour will conclude on September 26 in Bangalore.

Says an insider, “Shahid and Anushka have shot some water sports and games in the film hence the casual sporty look. They took the games very seriously and played stuff like badminton and beach volleyball even after pack-up. Anushka turned out to be the better player and beat her co-star everyday, irritating the competitive Shahid!”

Badmaash Company has been written and directed by Parmeet Sethi and produced by Aditya Chopra. The music has been composed by Pritam.

Though it is Deepika Padukone who has a badminton lineage and has also been a player till college, fellow Bangaluru babe Anushka Sharma too seems to be quite a pro at the sport. Well, at least she beat Shahid Kapoor at the game.

Apparently, the two were required to shoot a few sequences playing water sports and games. To get it right on the screen, the two played a lot of badminton and beach volleyball even after pack up. “To everyone’s surprise, Anushka turned out to be the better player and beat Shahid everyday!” says a source. Now this Bangalore beauty is all set to play the all-important role in Chandramukhi 2. She is being roped in by producer Bellamkonda Suresh and director P Vasu for their new film with Venkatesh.

P.Vasu is directing Venkatesh in the remake of his Kannada hit movie, Apta Rakshaka, which is being touted as sequel to Chandramukhi. Anushka Sharma is reportedly thrilled to do this coveted role of Chandramukhi but nothing has officially been finalized so far. Negotiations are on.

Buzz is that Priyamani is also competing for this role.

However, Imtiaz Ali wanted to cast Katrina Kaif because of her amazing chemistry with Ranbir and because the script demanded a girl with Kashmiri looks and excellent command over spoken Hindi.

Anushka, who’s currently shooting for a Yashraj film with Shahid Kapur, will be spending six straight months shooting with handsome hunk Ranbir, if chosen for “Rockstar.”
